Fennel and Co.

ahh now that’s what I call a harvest – July has just begun and things are really kicking off in the garden now. After over an hours worth of weeding I pulled out the last radishes, a further lettuce, quite a few kohlrabis, a fennel, a couple of leaves of spinach, basil, oregano and parsley. After nearly giving up hope I discovered that the first carrots are beginning to show. We had feared that the dryness in April and May had been too much for the seedlings but between the weeds I discovered teeny-weeny carrot plants! I also sowed some new radishes, wild arugula (ger. Rauke), nasturtium (ger. Kapuzinerkresse) and chard (ger. Mangold)…
